Please read all sections carefully. If you have questions, do not hesitate to talk to a Council Member!

Cross Continental (the Guild) is a progression raiding guild; it is not a general purpose or casual raiding guild. The guild’s standards and rules are based on that foundation.

The Guild Rules/Code of Conduct are/is devided in the following sections:
Guild Ranks
Requirements and Expectations
Guild Raids
Loot Council
Guild Mumble
Guild Bank
General Rules

Guild ranks:

Council: Troopingfay, Dziadzui, Draeneight and Wilier
Council Alts: Dziadzui’s, Draeneight’s, Wilier’s and Troopingfay’s Alts
Raider: Guild Raiding Mains (GRM)
Casual: Guild Mains who join for the social aspect of the guild
Alts: All characters, which do not belong to the above named categories, are considered alts.
Initiate: Anybody who joins our guild is considered an Initiate for a probation period of 30 days.

At the beginning of an expansion, before guild raids start officially, it is possible to switch mains. It is not possible to switch mains during progression content (see under “Requirements and Expectations”), unless the Council Team kindly asks you to do so.

Guild rank rights:
Anybody in the guild has guild invite rights (exception: Initiates)
Anybody in the guild has guild bank access, but they are limited to ranks (see under “Guild Bank”)

Requirements and Expectations:

Guild Members, by definition, have at least one character enrolled in the guild. Each member is required to specify a Guild Raiding Main (“GRM”). All other characters belonging to the same player are considered alternates (“Alt”).
Raiders/Guild Raiding Mains (GRMs)
The guild has certain requirements and expectations for GRMs:
A GRM will only raid progression content (see below) in the guild’s regularly scheduled raid runs.
Therefore, a GRM will not be used to run progression content with other guilds or in random groups.
A GRM is expected to be present for all scheduled guild raids of current content (at least 75% attendance).
A GRM should be raid ready for such events. This includes having appropriate food, flasks, potions (guild bank), and gear.
The player should be familiar with the latest changes to their GRM’s class and spec to handle raid encounters proficiently.
Casuals (Cs)
Casuals don’t raid with the guild regularly (less than 75% attendance). Cs will only get invited to guild raids if there is room and the raid composition benefits from it. Cs will only receive gear as a last resort to disenchanting.
Alts
On the other hand, the guild has few expectations for Alts:
An Alt will only raid in the guild’s regularly scheduled raid run if requested by a guild officer.
Alts that do raid in a regularly scheduled guild raid in place of the player’s GRM will only receive gear as a last resort to disenchanting.
Alts have no limitations as far as raiding content; the concept of progression content is not applied.
Initiates
Freshly joined players are considered Initiates for a probation period of 30 days. In order to become a member it is necessary to read, understand and agree to the Guild Rules/Code of Conduct and sign it within 30 days of joining the guild.

Progression Content is a bar defined by guild leadership. This bar can be moved. Anything below the bar is considered open (or non-progression) content. Anything at or beyond the bar in difficulty is considered Progression Content.
At the time of this writing Blizzard has defined three tiers of end-game raid content: Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. If, for instance, the guild is focusing on heroic-level content then the bar may be set at Heroic; in such a scenario Heroic and Mythic modes would be considered Progression Content, while Normal would be considered open content.
Guild leadership will make it very clear what is considered progression content and when it changes.
Currently the bar is set to mythic Highmaul and normal Blackrock Foundry. Feel free to pug normal and heroic Highmaul, anything above is defined as progression content. (March 4th 2015)

Guild Raids:

Guild raids get either scheduled on OpenRaid or on the in game calendar. Our raid days are Wednesdays and Thursdays. Raid start time is 11:30 AM CST, raid ends by 1:45 PM CST (9:30 AM – 11:45 AM server). It is a matter of courtesy to sign up for guild raids and to keep the status updated. Do not expect to get invited if you haven’t signed up or aren’t online on time (without prior notification).
Please also make sure your character is raid-ready with the requirements and resources listed below:
• If you don’t sign up, you don’t get invited to the raid.
• If you sign up, we expect you to be punctual and keep your status updated. If you can’t make a raid please inform Dziadzui, Draeneight, Willier or Troopingfay ASAP so we can plan ahead.
• Guild Raids are not the place to try out new specs or rotations (please test it in LFR)
• Read up on your class and the talent and rotation changes which come with a new Patch or a new expansion. If you need help to improve your play style feel free to ask a Council Member for help (they can at least refer you to another player or a website).
• Mistakes happen, learn from it and don’t make it again.
Please make sure your character is raid-ready, e.g. class and spec appropriately glyphed, gemmed and enchanted.
• Be aware that we’ll wipe (ALOT) while we progress through the expansion. If you have a problem with it, then don’t join our raid team. 😉

Loot Council:

We are using Loot Council in order to make sure that loot is getting distributed evenly. RCLoot Council Add On is required for raids.
The add on gives you four options: Need > Greed > Minor Upgrade > Pass
Need: The item is BiS for you, a huge upgrade (> 5 ilvls)
Greed: The item is a sidegrade, has better stats, but is the same ilvl or below
Minor Upgrade: The item has either the same ilvl but a socket or < 5 ilvls difference

Tier Tokens: Roll Need for the 2nd and 4th Tier piece, Roll Greed for 1st or 3rd Tier piece, Roll Minor Upgrade for 5th. If an existing Tier piece gets upgraded (f.e. regular Tier piece for an heroic Tier piece), then please roll Minor Upgrade.

RCLoot Council shows the Council Members the equipped items and their ilvls of those who roll on loot. Council Members don’t distribute loot light-heartedly, they take into consideration who has already won items this raid week, who participates regularly, who performs well and who’d benefit most from it. Gear is getting distributed in a way that the guild raids benefit from it most. The Loot Council makes the decisions and can’t be argued about.
Each Council Member votes anonymously for a player (Council Members can’t vote for themselves). In case votes are cast equally the raid members will have to roll off and luck (the highest roll) will decide who gets the item.
The AddOn remembers which raid member receives which piece of loot. Do not pass loot to other raid members when they ask you to do so. If a raid member urges you to pass on an item which you have received, please contact the Council ASAP!
Harassing a raid member about won loot will result in loss of rank and loss of the benefits which come with rank.
If you chose to trade an item to another raid member without the consent of the Council, we will still regard you as having won the item. If an item drops that can benefit you as well as another player equally who has not won an item yet, it will go to the other player since you have already won an item.
Please do not trade won items unless the Council kindly asks you to do so!

Guild bank:

Guild repairs are enabled for progression runs for the ranks Core Team and above. Items in tab 2 to 5 are for GRMs only and materials are not meant for guild Alts!

Required Add-Ons etc.:

Add Ons can be found here: http://www.curse.com
• DeadlyBossMods, BigWigs or something comparable
• GTFO is recommended as well as Tell Me When
• RCLoot Council

Mumble:

Mumble is required for communication. We’d like to encourage everyone to use a mic if possible and become comfortable speaking during the raid. Sometimes calling out is more expedient for a response by the team. An example is being Banished during the Sha of Pride encounter in MoP.
It is ok to use Mumble for outer guild activities with x-realm friends, as long as
• it is in tune with our guild rules
• at least 1 guild member is involved and in the channel
• said guild member is responsible for monitoring the behavior of that channel
• said guild member makes sure that the channel is clear before leaving himself/herself.

General Rules:

1. is a guild brought together through OpenRaid. It is an OpenRaid based guild as well as residing on Lightbringer, therefore it is crucial that we all obey their rules. The link to the OpenRaid rules and regulations and important info regarding selling of services can be found here: http://OpenRaid.us/f/3376
Make sure to read them!
2. is an international guild. Be aware that for some people english isn’t their mother tongue and misunderstandings can happen. To avoid hurt feelings and doubt please ask how it was meant.
3. Guild chat: We are a guild of adults which means that we all like to joke around, but cursing and crude jokes should be kept to a minimum in order to make everybody feel comfortable. Any jokes slurring a person’s nationality or religion, or anything offensive are not tolerated.
4. Keep in mind that while you are in a group or using trade chat, your behavior reflects upon . Please represent the guild well!
5. For your safety and the guild bank’s safety, we recommend that you use an authenticator and to change your password regularly.
6. We are a raiding guild made up of people who like to have fun downing bosses. Please keep your issues at the door. If an issue does arise, don’t let it become a problem.
7. We are all adults and should be able to voice our concerns calmly when they come up. If you continually have issues, we will kindly ask you to leave.

If you have questions or concerns feel free to contact a council member.
We do take raiding seriously and like to get bosses down in a timely manner, but not at the cost of our fun and friends. We all have the same goal which is to enjoy the game in a friendly atmosphere, explore the expansion, kill bosses and enjoy the social aspects which a guild brings. We all have enough stress at work, let’s make sure to keep our game-time as enjoyable and drama-free as possible!
The guild rules get updated when necessary, please revisit them on a regular basis.
